We are having a recruitment process in this new quarter to seek for qualified persons to fill various vacant positions created by expansion of our business horizons. One of these positions includes the position of a Procurement Officer.

The Procurement Officer will develop and administer all Procurement related activities for the Engineering Department.

Main Duties:

– Serves as the organization’s representative for the Engineering Department on Procurement issues and procedures.

– Develops and coordinates new policies and procedures regarding procurement processes.

– Conducts analysis of program policies and procedures, develops plans, formulates guidelines, implements new developments and procedures, and provides policy interpretation for purchasing within company guidelines.

– Conducts reviews of prices and quantities provided by third parties.

– Processes account applications and maintenance actions, and maintains suppliers and materials database.

– Monitors approval of accounts to maintain an appropriate degree of control over vendor relationships.

Skills

– Bachelors degree from an accredited educational institution in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, law, contracts, purchasing, industrial management, quantitative methods, or management.

– 2 years of professional procurement/purchasing experience in a mid-sized organization.

– Prior management or supervisory experience is preferred.

– Must also possess working knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, Access, Project and standard industry procurement software and databases.
